Project: Art District Phase1 Architecture Competition Project

Status: International Competition 2010

Site: Beijing has become a global centre for arts, creativity and commerce. The influx of foreign visitors and the ever-increasing number of young, successful Chinese has generated a demand for retail and leisure of international standards. Concordantly, the growth of the city has created a need for sustainable building projects.

Result：It should provide external open space, which guarantees a flexible workspace, and a private living environment. A sample design might include: a public exhibition space on the first floor, a studio space on the second floor, a living space on the third floor, and a private garden or a swimming pool on the roof deck. Over two hundred 500M3 units will combine to form the GBD Art District Phase 1 Architecture Competition project.
